I don’t know where this came from, but I found it on the internet this evening so I thought I’d share. Enjoy!

Q: Doctor, I’ve heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true? A: Your heart only good for so many beats, and that it… Don’t waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster. Want to live longer? Take nap. Read the rest of this entry »

Quote of the Week: March

February 26, 2012

Spring makes its own statement, so loud and clear that the gardener seems to be only one of the instruments, not the composer.  ~Geoffrey B. Charlesworth

Another week here in the Exercise of the Week series. We’re going to stick with the yoga as we have in previous weeks. This is a hip exercise allowing us to work on some hip flexibility. Hip flexibility is something that I think a lot of us miss out on and for that reason we tend to have both hip and knee pain. February 9, 2012

This weekend teams from across the state of Illinois will be competing at the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association’s state championships. The girls from Freeburg Community High School will be competing and I want to wish them the best of luck! Be safe out there and Let’s Go Midgets!

Big Hits Broken Dreams

February 7, 2012

This video was originally aired on January 29, 2012 on CNN. It has found its way onto Youtube.. I thought this was an excellent video and really enjoyed it! Now we need to spread it around and get it viewed by as many people as possible. There seems to be a minor glitch that causes the audio to not work for a minute or so, but otherwise it is great!
